Trusted data use requires an institutional bridge
JDGC is being established to help Japanese organisations evaluate and govern digital technologies through a shared, cross-functional foundation that can be understood by management, procurement, legal, security and operating teams.
Why JDGC is being formed
A fragmented decision environment
AI and data-intensive services are now central to business operations, but the questions raised by their adoption cut across legal, technology, security, procurement, risk and business functions. Overseas providers may also struggle to express global controls in a form that fits Japanese internal approval and accountability processes.
A common language for responsible adoption
JDGC will convene users, providers and subject-matter experts to develop shared terminology, practical review questions and educational resources in areas where common approaches can improve trust without limiting competition.
